2017 Summer Learning Parent Information night - June 1st - 5:30pm - 7:00pm at Spaugh Administrative Center
CPCC received a National Science Foundation (NSF) grant that is aimed at increasing the number of under-represented minorities (URM) that receive bachelor’s degrees in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) fields. One part of the grant is to offer a STEM Prep Program in order to give current CPCC students, 11th grade and 12th grade students an introduction to STEM topics at the college level. Students that participate in this program will be enrolled in non-credit courses that provide them with project-based experiences in mathematics and their choice of science, technology or engineering. The summer session will be held for 4 weeks during the summer starting June 19 – July 19 with the 4th of July week off. The times will be on Monday and Wednesday from 1pm- 5:15pm Please see the attached summary for the Summer STEM Prep Session and Brochure.
Please go to our website www.cpcc.edu/ncsa/stem-prep to have students apply.
